Intensive Moscow's Assaults Cut Power In Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water systems, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks follow nights of air raids in the territory, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were preparing for more assaults.
